John C. Kernan, Principal, is an internationally recognized certified fire investigator who has conducted over 1000 fire origin and cause investigations both domestically and internationally.

He has testified and provided expert witness testimony in over 300+ court cases on the local, county, state and federal level. He is a Principal Member of the NFPA #1033 Technical Committee, "Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Investigator".

John is also a Certified Fire Code Inspector and Plan Reviewer with the International Code Council, the National Fire Protection Association as well as the PA State Department of License and Inspections. He has over 21 years' experience as an Emergency Management Coordinator. Consulted with clients regarding fire department and emergency response operations, fire code interpretation, enforcement, inspection and compliance, disaster preparedness and response as well as fire safety and prevention programming.  John has also conducted detailed premises liability investigations for a number of Fortune 500 companies.

Add to that over thirty-four years active experience as a Chief Fire Marshal as well as an Assistant Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal (11498).
